Joe is a master's prepared board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Joe is an Assistant Professor for Regis University and Colorado Christian University in their psychiatric nursing programs. Joe sees all ages.

His style of practice includes a comprehensive client-centered focus of care that supports traditional as well as holistic care. He believes treatment of the whole person includes mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. His style of conservative psychopharmacological treatment is designed to be utilized collaboratively with the addition of a primary psychotherapist. Other important aspects of focus in his practice include complementary and alternative medicine, lifestyle modification, exercise, nutrition, and stress management.​

Joe began his career in mental health as a mental health counselor working in co-occurring mental health and substance abuse treatment. Following his passion within the medical field, he continued his education at Purdue University and received a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. He then continued his graduate studies at the University of South Alabama and received a Master's Degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Joe's mental health employment history includes work in acute and non-acute inpatient facilities, substance use detox and residential facilities, and a correctional facility. Areas of specialty include chronic mental illness, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance abuse across all developmental age spans.
