Fiona James, RN, BSN, and PMHNP Intern, is a Yale University-trained PMHNP student with several years of experience in nursing and behavioral health support in schools. Fiona sees ages 12 and up and especially enjoys working with young adults dealing with depression and anxiety.
Fiona is passionate about working with a holistic approach and strives to care for the whole person: body, mind, spirit, and community. She is a conservative prescriber and offers lifestyle and herbal supplement recommendations as well as psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults with mood disorders such as depression or anxiety, attention or concentration disturbances, trauma, grief, and insomnia. She seeks to offer evidence-based practices that will be effective for her clients.
Her ideal client is someone who is willing to work collaboratively in the pursuit of health and healing and be an active participant in their care. She seeks to offer her clients a nonjudgmental, welcoming space with compassion and a listening ear.
Fiona enjoys all things outdoors and loves to snowboard, hike, run, and kayak. She also likes to read and paint.
